State of the Union

State if the Union
State of the UnionOn January 12, 2016, President Barack Obama delivered his final State of the Union Address. By 2017, America will have elected a new president, so President Obama used his final address as a chance to look back at his last seven years in office as well as cast a vision for the future of America.
The topics of his address spanned everything from the economic state of America, to the current low price of gasoline, to this year’s political race.
He even remarked that one of his greatest regrets in office is the fact that “the rancor and suspicion between the (political) parties has gotten worse instead of better.”
One of his biggest concerns is the way America will respond to the changes around the world.
“We live in a time of extraordinary change-change that’s reshaping the way we live, the way we work, our planet and our place in the world. It’s change that promises amazing medical breakthroughs, but also economic disruptions that strain working families. It promises education for girls in the most remote villages, but also connects terrorists plotting an ocean away. It’s change that can broaden opportunity, or widen inequality. And whether we like it or not, the pace of this change will only accelerate.”
-President Obama
This rings true with what Bible Prophecy has to say about the future. The Bible promises that in the End Times, we will see wars and conflict and political change and that is unfolding right before our eyes. So how are we supposed to respond to the coming changes and conflict? President Obama asked a similar question:
“Will we respond to the changes of our time with fear, turning inward as a nation, and turning against each other as people?”
Dr. Hindson always emphasizes that Biblical Prophecy is not supposed to give us a spirit of fear, but rather encourage us as we see that God is at work in the world. None of the changes that are happening are unknown to God and He has a plan.
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control.”
-2 Timothy 1:7
As followers of Christ, we are not called to be afraid. Instead we are asked to trust the Lord and share His truth wherever we go!Battle for America in the Last Days - the King is Coming

The Prophetic Promise for a New Year

The New Year gives us a time of fresh beginnings.

For many believers, the New Year is a time to refocus on their walk with the Lord. They buy new Bibles and journals, download reading plans, and resolve to read as much of God’s word in the coming year as they can.
Have you ever found yourself asking, “Why are there so many books in the Bible? Are they really all important?”
We want to help you start your New Year in God’s word!
The Prophetic Promise, Dr. Hindson’s 4-lesson Bible study, examines the Bible as a whole and shows readers that every book, every chapter, every word, ultimately points to Jesus. Dividing the Scriptures into four parts, Dr. Hindson uses each lesson to prove that when all is said and done, Bible Prophecy points to Jesus Christ and His life, His death, His resurrection, and His future return.
As you go through the study and dive into God’s word, you will be encouraged as you witness God’s plan for us. He has always been in control, and Bible prophecy reminds us that He still is and that He keeps His promises.
“In the beginning, God created the world. Man fell into sin. And God has gone out of His way for all these centuries of the Human race to intervene on our behalf, to step into the darkness of a fallen world, to say, ‘I am going to keep the Prophetic Promise. Somebody is going to come.’ That somebody is Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews, Lord of the Church, the Savior of the World, the Lamb of God.”

When Jesus Came

When Jesus Came
“When Jesus came the first time, He came wrapped in swaddling clothes. When He comes again, He’ll be dressed in the vestments of victory.
When He came the first time, there was no room in the inn. When He comes again, the whole world will be His domain.
He came the first time as the King of the Jews. He will come again as King of kings and Lord of Lords.
He came the first time to be crucified. He will come again to be glorified
He came the first time as the Author of our salvation. He will come again as the Finisher of our faith.
He came the first time with a baby’s cry. When He comes again, it will be in the roar of the lion of the tribe of Judah.
His first coming was known only to a few shepherds, a handful of wise men, and a few residents of Bethlehem. When He comes again, it’ll be as lightning flashing east to west, He will come in the clouds of glory, and the entire universe will hear the news.
When He came at Bethlehem, the angels sang, ‘Glory to God in the highest’ (Luke 2:15). When He comes again, they will sing, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.’ (Rev. 11:15)”
